Quick question: do you count students who end up at the European Union’s institutions as public sector or international orgs?
Kate Hibbert
17:17
Question: think tanks /research institutes would be considered private or nonprofit?
Raúl Villegas
17:22
Because strictly it’s supranational, so in an in-between area. Thanks!
Raúl Villegas
18:00
Thank you!
Sam Brecker
18:54
This may be covered later, but what salary ranges can be expected for each employment sector?
Saseen Najjar
27:53
(Have to leave for a work conflict, but thank you for this session!)

I have a quick question. Do you already know if the next DC/NYC career trips will be in person or online? On that note, I have seen a lot of information online about the DC career trip, but not so much about NYC: is it not as much of a “tradition” as the DC one? Thank you.
Ishaan Ajay
35:13
Hi, could you please shed some light on some of the potential non-US/non-home country job destinations that are popular amongst students
Olubunmi Ajayi
36:36
What do the career trips typical look like, and can you share examples of organizations involved?
Sam Brecker
36:53
I’ve been in DC for going on 7 years this fall. I would be coming to Fletcher to get out of DC for a while and my hope would be to continue exploring a new geographic area for my first job after Fletcher even if my career may lead me back to DC eventually. What is the feasibility of finding a meaningful job outside of DC?
Raúl Villegas
38:16
If I may ask another question. Do you have career fairs specifically targeting employers in the Boston area? I feel Boston is also very interesting for NGOs/private sector and quite underrated among policy students
Kate Hibbert
40:43
Can you talk about time ones for the summer internship? For example I know State Dept internships require earlier applications. How do you assist students with this process?
Kate Hibbert
40:56
*timelines
Raúl Villegas
43:21
We’re talking average, not median, right?
Marília Ramos
43:25
To complement Ishaan question about potential non-US/non-home country job destinations, are these jobs more interested for international student who still need work visa in these countries?
Sally Schuster
47:08
If we've received scholarship for Fletcher + OCS support, would that stop us from working at the school? (TA, RA, etc)
Dan Birdsall (he/him/his)
48:04
@Sally: No, these are all "compatible" sources of funding, and it's common that students might take advantage of all of these
Sally Schuster
48:36
Nice, thanks Dan.
Oieshi Saha
49:01
Are there any exclusive tie-ups that Fletcher possibly has with organisations/ firms where internship spots are reserved for Fletcher students?
Sally Schuster
52:55
Do you know when we should be requesting visas? I know this has been an issue globally with Embassies
Dan Birdsall (he/him/his)
54:13
@Sally: you can find details on the visa process, including timeframes and contact info for our International Student Advisor - at https://sites.tufts.edu/congratulations/enrolling/international-students-2/
Sally Schuster
54:55
Thanks!
Kate Hibbert
55:08
Not sure if this is something you all work with, but what kinds of opportunities do students have to do group work for outside agencies/firms either in classes, clubs, etc?
Oieshi Saha
55:35
Thank you!
Dan Birdsall (he/him/his)
56:39
@Kate: A great example of the type of course Jaime is talking about is Field Studies In Global Consulting, the entirety of which is predicated upon groups working with outside clients through the semester
Kate Hibbert
57:02
thank you all so much!
Sally Schuster
59:44
Could we access that?
Dan Birdsall (he/him/his)
