There is growing recognition of how injustices and unequal power dynamics, rooted in systemic racism, have been perpetuated through development efforts. I am interested, in the context of international relations, on how to center those closest to the problem as those closest to the solution.How are your classes acknowledging existing power dynamics and uplifting the expertise of communities? And do your research projects reflect an anti-racist lens or use participatory practices? Thank you! I know these are tough questions 🙂

Hi everyone, My name is Marilia and I was just admitted in the MIB’s program. I would like to specialize in the field of International Economic Relations within the MIB so I can work with international macroeconomics and International business. Keeping this in mind, what kind of RA or TA positions would be more interested? And how important would be for me to have a PhD in the macroeconomics area so It gets more easier for me to find a job in the multilateral organization? Since these kind of organizations can give the opportunity for international employees the G4 visa .

Q for Prof. Patrick Schena: It's expected to have an extensive quantitative background to enroll in your courses? Are there any courses that ask for prerequisites like introductory econometrics?

How would you says Fletcher’s MALD program compares against traditional MPA / MPP programs? Is there any specific area of expertise at Fletcher which sets the MALD apart? Also if you could clarify the different kind of job roles students may land after pursuing a MALD vs a MPA / MPP. Personally I am interested in exploring fields of Human Rights / Human Security
