Most ambulatory clinics are not designed for pandemic precautions. The reality is not going to be as optimal as we would all like it to be, and as was suggested here. Are there plans to monitor potential outbreaks in outpatient settings?

When we see pts in the outpatient setting, they typically sit a foot or two from us as we take the history - most rooms are quite small and it is not possible for the pt to be six feet away. Has thought gone into plexiglass being installed in exam rooms between doc and pts while history taking, obviously not while doing the exam.
