what can you do to support POC after you elevate them to the leadership position in a research institute? What is the best practice to ensure that you don’t just have a token diversity and how do you foster an inclusive environment?
yes to train and support more researchers from the underserved communities but also need to have equitable partnerships with the community partners about funding and research design/dissemination!
Many institutions have a dual track; tenure vs non-tenure. Are any of the panelists aware of whether there are disproporptionality more marginilzed persons or people of color assigned to the non-tenure track and if this influences whether some groups may have less opportunity to rise to leadership positions?
