Tisch College Distinguished Speaker Series: Chairman Adam Schiff
Join Tisch College for a conversation with U.S. Congressman (D-CA28), Adam Schiff. Now in his 10th term in the U.S. House of Representatives, Congressman Schiff currently serves as Chairman of the House Permanent Select Committee on Intelligence. Chairman Schiff led the impeachment inquiry against President Trump, and was the lead impeachment manager earlier this year by Speaker Pelosi, chosen to lead the prosecution during President Trump’s impeachment trial before the Senate. Throughout his tenure in Congress, Rep. Schiff has focused on growing the economy, bolstering national security, strengthening communities, helping small businesses, protecting freedom of the press here and abroad, and improving education, safety and health care for children.

Prior to serving in the U.S. House of Representatives, Schiff served as State Senator for California's 21st State Senate District, chairing the Senate Judiciary Committee, the Senate Select Committee on Juvenile Justice and the Joint Committee on the Arts. Before serving in the legislature, Schiff served with the U.S. Attorney's Office in Los Angeles for six years, most notably prosecuting the first FBI agent ever to be indicted for espionage. He is a graduate of Stanford University and Harvard Law School.

This event is sponsored by Tisch College, the Fletcher School of Law and Diplomacy, the Osher Lifelong Learning Institute, JumboVote, and the Political Science Department.
